The food was exceptionally fresh and well-prepared, with generous portion sizes. We were so full that we had to take our dessert to go. Their freshly baked bread is irresistible, and the chicken livers with aubergine chutney were a delightful surprise. The pork belly was bursting with flavor. The wine list was also impressive, offering a variety of options at different price points. If you find yourself in the area, this restaurant is a must-visit for a memorable meal with exceptional flair.
I am saddened that my proposal to market this magical place was not even acknowledged. It is the most beautiful place that deserves exposure and marketing that is done professionally.<br/ <br/ Without that it is doomed to close down. We had a delicious magnificently presented lunch on a Saturday in an empty restaurant. What a shame. It is too nice to be kept hidden. The decor ambience furnishings and service were really worth promoting. I would be so sad to see this bespoke place closing down for not being open to market properly.<br/ <br/ This is part of The Sugar Hotel and also boasts a supreme onsite spa. It is a beautiful pearl hidden in a closed oyster. I was passionate about marketing this place in the best way possible.<br/ <br/ I have never come across such an incredible manager who had his finger on the pulse. He was warm and welcoming, paid close attention to detail and demonstrated being an asset to the business. Hopefully through him and word of mouth, this place will get the traction it deserves.<br/
If you want to impress someone with excellent food, an awesome atmosphere, and top-notch service in Cape Town, look no further than Spice On Main. We recently enjoyed a Jack Daniels Inspired Father's Day Lunch at this restaurant and were not disappointed. Each table with 4 or more people received a bottle of Gentleman's Jack as a gift, which was a nice touch. The fine dining experience exceeded our expectations, with generous portions and delicious dishes. My Beetroot Orange soup was flavorful, but so filling that I had to leave some behind. My husband and son loved the Jack Pork Parfait and Pan Roasted Fillet of Beef, while I thoroughly enjoyed the Angelis Jack Salmon. The highlight was the signature dessert, Puff Bom Boms, which was simply amazing. The attentive and friendly waiter ensured that we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Owner Paulo's hands-on approach added a personal touch that made us feel truly cared for. The restaurant is conveniently located in Green Point, in front of The Sugar Hotel. If the restaurant's service is any indication, the hotel must be excellent as well. I was lucky enough to win a meal at Spice On Main and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional experience. Thank you for making this Father's Day truly special for my family. This was truly the best Father's Day ever.
As we waited for the masseuse to arrive, memories of past massage experiences came to mind, including a surprise massage I received in 2005 after performing on Chinese TV. Years later, my husband and I spent a Christmas day in a spa on a Costa Cruiseliner in Athens. After our relaxing massage, we were escorted to the restaurant, Spice on Main, located on the floor below the spa. The Maitre D welcomed us warmly as we sat and chatted with him while selecting our menu items. Our package allowed us to choose any two items from the menu along with a drink. I opted for a prawn starter and fish with roast potatoes for my main course, while my husband chose the spicy steak with vegetables and sorbet. We both enjoyed a glass of red wine with our meal. My starter arrived quickly, and I shared it with my husband before our main courses arrived. The food was delicious, with my fish and roast potatoes being a highlight and my husband's steak with chili being exactly what he wanted. We continued chatting with the Maitre D and eventually decided to order something else to share.
Beautiful deco and ambience followed by a delicious main, even the side order of veg was mouth watering. Appetizers and dinner all presented meticulously Staff were friendly, well trained and completed the experience with superb service.
