La Tramontana - Capilla del Monte

Authentic restaurant with own trout hatscherei. The food is delicious and the host is very nice! You are open every day for lunch, but it is better to reserve in advance to ensure that you have a table. Dinner is also possible, but only upon request. From Ruta 38 you have to follow a gravel road for about 4km (you have to open a fence halfway).

We visited Capilla del monte in October 2016 and booked by phone at La Tramontana. After a bumpy road of 3-4 km in the middle of nowhere we came to this idyllic place we were greeted by the owner and (we think) his wife. We were the only guests for lunch and decided to go for the trout grown by the same owner/family next door. This very fresh trout, in combination with a very well recommended white wine, unexpectedly led to one of the best lunch we ever had. Very recommended!!

We were very priviledged to have eaten in this restorer. It is beautiful inside, the owners are so gracious, friendly and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful. It's a way out of town, but it's worth the ride. The appetizers were delicious with the best wine I ever tasted. The food cooked by the owner who trained at the best schools. We have a choice of beef or teout. The trout grew up in the countryside and we have so many sauces to choose. The meal was excellent with vegetables and wine. The desserts were so good I ordered to go home. We had the restaurant for us and it was so warm and quiet. You need to make reservations. This is such a fabulous place to eat and plan to relax a long time here as you eat.

Beautiful location but very welcoming without reservation. Maybe it had something to do with our young children! Beautiful trout though
