Erik's Delicafé - Capitola

The customer service with the person who received our order was bad, it appeared frustrated and annoyed with us for the order. The food wasn't good at all. Beans, soups, macaroni salad, and the meat tasted as if everything was packed. We're not going back.

I cannot believe my good fortune in finding this Erik?s. There are 3 young women who work here, and one is more courteous and competent than the next. Erik?s food generally is good, but rude staff has kept me away from other locations. But this location is consistently excellent! I hope these three ladies are appreciated and acknowledged by their management, as they truly are exceptional!

We always make a point to visit this place whenever we're in Santa Cruz. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, and the carrot cake is also a treat!

Wheat pocket was not opened all the way resulting in a very disappointing half made Sandwich. The salad on the other hand looked delicious and was until I pulled out of my mouth a human hair from the salad. It was a gross experience. I will be contacting the store later today when they open. FOLLOW UP: I Changed my review based on the response from the staff at this location. It changed from a two to a four. I can't give it a five due to the errors which occurred. However, the integrity and care they presented as well as the replacement of my meal (with a change of the bread type of course to ensure the same error with the sandwich didn't repeat), I felt it was deserving of a reevaluation. Errors happen sometimes, but it really matters what follows...

Greatness. You can smell the freshness as you walk in the door. The chicken Durango sandwich is pure glory. The salads are comparable to places in Oregon. The chowder is really good too.
