Greg's - Capon Bridge

Meh. Not bad, but certainly not worth the prices. The people running it are very nice, but I can't get over the fact everything tastes like it came frozen and just got thrown on the grill or in the fryer. Haven't really tried their breakfast. Heard good things about it. Maybe give that a try?

I have driven past this restaurant many times and never stopped because it looks like a fast food place from the outside. The inside is not much different. A friend was working in town and recommended I give it a try. My server was excellent and provided quality service. The food was so-so. Two people recommended the hamburger steak, so I gave it a shot. The hamburger was smothered in gravy and onions and had a good fresh taste. The mashed potatoes were not so good. They were artificial and had no taste. I will not order again, if I return. This is probably the best place to eat in Capon Bridge; however, not the greatest. I give them a 4 due to the great service and good sweet tea. The price of the lunch special is only 7.95 and includes the drink.

I had breakfast. It was pretty standard for the area and the price was fair. The waitress was very nice as well. Not a bad spot to eat.

Really good simple home cooked meals! Greg is a super nice guy who makes the beat sweet tea I have ever had in my life!

You get what you expect. Southern fried classics, large cups of sweet tea, and polite country service. It is a local favorite.
