Feedback gevenExcellent chinoise, French fries, salad with dessert, coffe and a free digestive. The meat is marinated and cook in broth. With 3 sauces, curry, garlic and cocktail. If you tried it you will never eat anymore the regular ones.
We had dinner in a very special location, a 'grotto ' surrounded by trees and close to a lovely creek. We had the most gorgeous chinoise we could find in Ticino. Meat was perfectly marinated and very rich in flavour. It was then cut into very thin slices. Eros, the landlord, gave us a warm and delightful welcome.
It's already hard to get a reservation at this small but owner run restaurant above Tesserete in the Canton of Ticino, so this review may make it harder still but Eros deserves it. The menu is simple and if you're a vegetarian don't go here. The meat he uses for Meat Fondue in winter and ribs in summer is always first choice and has been marinated by him according to an old family recipe. The restaurant itself is small, in the mountains so always cooler in summer, where you can enjoy the food on the terrace next to the small river. In winter you eat inside in a very friendly and cosy atmosphere.
The owner Eros coordinates the kitchen and staff with always a smile on his face, despite beeing full every evening of the week. You must like meat to get the most of this wonderful insider tip. In Summer he serves meats from the grill, in Winter he offers meat fondue. Eros marinates in delicious herbs his meats and it is absolutely not to be missed!
Tastefull dinner with family/friends in a cosy little restaurant in the middle of nowhere with a chef who isn't only warm and friendly but also a fantastic cook! What more can someone wish for when he goes out to have dinner:
