La Rosa Dei Venti - Carbonara di po

Had some trepidation visiting as a non Italian speaking Brit abroad. The area isn't exactly on the tourist map (as far as I know! . Any way I shouldn't have worried. The waitress recognising I was a little out of my depth with the language was able to help me out. Anyway into the meal. I like allsorts of food, some would say any food really, my choices though puzzled the waitress. I plumped for a mixed dried meats starter and a spaghetti marinara. She said are you sure meat and fish ?? Yes I was sure. I wasn't disappointed. The dried meats platter was plentiful and very tasty. The spaghetti marinara was packed with a variety of seafood included; mussels, langoustine, prawns, shrimps, squid and clams. The plate went back empty even using the bread to clean up the remaining sauce. Loved it. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy with around four or five other tables occupied. There was no sign of any distractions mentioned in other reviews on here. Would certainly visit again if back in the area for work. Thanks.

Food was very good, service friendly! Beautiful little hideaway; not crowded! Seafood and pasta was my favorite. Wine and salad equally good and wine, too!
