Harolds Chicken - Carbondale

What do you have to do to get the phone answered??? There is no point of having a phone number when they never answer the phone! Half the time they are out of stock on an important item like CHICKEN! How is Harold 's chicken in business with no chicken??? Then tell customers they don 't have mild sauce. Or don 't have other items on the menu. This is a **** poor representation of a great chicago restaurant. The females at the counter with horrible attitudes look like they should not work anywhere near food, wearing pajamas, bonnets and house slippers. This is embarrassing for black people. They need to close and regroup because it is a mess overall!

Seem as the Grease wasn't clean and some pieces were hard. But it had just opened a few hrs ago.And I was charged for Mild sauceWhich I thought was suppose to come on the chicken.I ordered a 6 peice dinner.#29 Carbondale Ill

This place says open and still takes payments even when their closed..I was robbed of $40 never received food never received a refund..Tried calling corporate no way to ever get ahold of anyone even thru facebook..Bad Business

I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. I had made an order for pick-up on a Saturday night but there was an unexpected power outage and the order couldn’t be fulfilled by the pick-up time. The staff called to inform me of this and I explained that my pickup time was not an issue because the order was being bought to reheat the next day. I explained that we intended to eat it while watching the Sunday games with my boyfriend’s father who is originally from Chicago (he had been talking about wanting Harold’s for weeks). After hearing this the staff graciously offered to come in the next day when they are traditionally closed to fulfill the order fresh. When I came to pick up the order the staff offered me a free 2 liter of soda and also offered carry my order out to my car. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate their efforts and the high quality of their food and service.

Great food. They're doing their best. Sometimes things get behind schedule. It seems like consistent staffing is hard to maintain here. I believe it, there's been a town wide decline apparent. The food is solid and the people in charge are really trying.
