If they want to try traditional Welsh cake, this is the place to go. they have a great choice and trust me that they are all fantastic. if traditional Welsh cakes are not their thing there are other options such as tarts, scones etc. this is. place where I go to cardiff each time.
The steak and cheesecake were lukewarm and the filling was subpar. The coffee was served scalding hot. I would recommend skipping this place.
I used to come here for lunch regularly, but after a few recent experiences, I have started buying from elsewhere. The food seems to be contaminated with flies and other debris, to the point where it is unappetizing. I have heard of people getting sick from eating here. I suggest saving your stomach and going to Subway across the street, where hygiene is a top priority.
We dropped into the Cardiff Bakehouse for a coffee and egg and bacon roll. It is a lovely shop with very friendly staff. It is a bakery which sells the usual bread and cakes and a big variety of pies. They also have a lot...of Vietnamese rolls as well as smoothies and a big juice bar. We had the special deal of a junior egg and bacon roll and coffee for $6. The coffee was good and if this was the junior egg and bacon roll I would certainly be stumped on the mega one.
