The food was delicious overall, although I deducted a star because my dish of chicken with eggplant was not as expected. Overall, I would give it 4 stars.
Visiting Milk & Sugar is like escaping the busy city life. However, it can get quite busy with families who have discovered this gem. They are very welcoming to children and families, as well as perfect for business meetings or grabbing a beer with friends. The gallery-like room, located above the old library (Yr Hen Lyfrgell) which has been transformed into a Welsh language center, provides a beautiful atmosphere for dining. The food is great and there is plenty of space for children to play, with a dedicated play area stocked with toys. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the location is lovely. Our fresh mini-soft cakes served with coffee were a delightful treat. Overall, Milk & Sugar is a fantastic, family-friendly restaurant with a modern touch and ample space for children to have fun. While it may start off quiet on a Saturday morning, it does tend to get busier as the day goes on.
Eating was excellent, restaurant was nice and the staff was polite. toilets were a bit grubby that is more to the building than the restaurant, but it is a scandal as they are intrinsically connected. would have been five stars.
Really nice cafeteria inside the museum with lots of seating. Excellent food quality. I had the salmon and avocado salad and it was lovely.
The staff seem a bit lackluster, as if the restaurant simply hired attractive people without considering their warmth or charisma. However, the food is delightful, even though the prices could be more reasonable. I tried the charcuterie and the soup, both of which were tasty, and the cheese and olive selection was impressive. The menu offers plenty of great vegan and vegetarian options. The bright and airy decor, with large windows overlooking the street, is refreshing. Comfortable seating and large TV screens showing rugby add to the cozy atmosphere. The highlight is a wall adorned with art and music album covers. It's a lovely spot to visit after exploring the Story Museum.
