So the two of had the same order, but we both got the strength we wanted. Not to mention that the coffee was fantastic!
Finished an early meeting Griffith Mt Gravatt and rushed to work. However, I discovered caffeine level in my body was down so dropped in this nearby espresso for re-fill. It was the first time that I had take-away order from this place but the coffee kept its consistent standard. The only thing that I have missed was the extra espresso that accompanied with my flat white….I really miss it! <br/ <br/ Oct 2018 Rating 4/5 <br/ Dropped in this café after meeting Griffith University Mt Gravatt Campus. In fact, nothing has been changed including the friendly service from the owner, nice cup of flat white and importantly the extra espresso accompanied with the order. I just love the way that the owner being so hospitable... a nice place to have a coffee break! <br/ <br/ April 05, 2017 <br/ Prior to the meeting at Griffith University, I dropped in this café to have a cup of coffee. It is not the first time that I have coffee here. I always appreciate the friendly and sincere owner who will prepare an extra shot of expresso beside my cup of coffee so I can adjust the strength to my own palate. This passionate attitude is a lot better than some of the cafés. Those cafes always claim that their coffee can be made stronger up to my preference. Well, I don't understand that how can I know if they make a weak coffee before I have the first cup?
Was pleasantly surprised with this tucked away little cafe. Walking in the entrance you are greeted by the sight of floral bouquets in all their colorful glory, instantly lifting your mood on a grey day. The coffee is Coffex I have had a few bad experiences with this blend in the past, however this was so smooth creamy was actually served with an extra shot on the side without paying or even asking for it. What a brilliant idea! I think this idea should be patented because I can never get a coffee that is strong enough for my taste with that shot on the side it was just perfection. Hence I am giving this cafe a score of 5.0 just for that even though it was served in a paper takeaway cup (which I hate!!
Andrew Honestly the most friendliest barista I know! Coffees are given with a free side of extra shot and perfectly frothed milk to be enjoyed by customers as they can adjust their coffees accordingly. (He said it was so his customers could enjoy their experience at his shop! Prices are $3.50 for a small and $4 for the large (doesnt matter whether it's a mocha, chai latte, hot chocolate! And a Coffex blend is used. Such friendly service too, flowers are randomly given to take home when we visit (yes it's a lovely little florist as well! Can see why the locals love Andrew, just have a look at his Facebook page and all the comments he gets from his customers. Have actually seen first hand customers bringing in their finished cups to help him clean! The place itself is in the suburbs, a hidden gem so to speak. It's a great place to catch up with friends or just relax alone in a tranquil environment without the hustle and bustle. Friendly service, consistent coffee, cheap prices, open 7 days... Not sure what else you would need really!
I live around the corner from this little gem. We have several very good coffee shops within a short drive, or a long walk. However, this is the best by far, not only for convenience, but also friendliness of service, attention to detail, and surprising gifts of flowers from Andrew (the owner) for my daughters. The coffee is Coffex, and Andrew brews it perfectly. There is a small but varied range of cakes to accompany your coffee, and Andrew is open long hours, from early to late, to accomodate the locals. I have met several friends, and family, there for a coffee. They also go away happy with their coffee and the service...and some of them are coffee conneisseurs!
