I'd recommend getting there just before 12 for the best choice of seats, though they do also have seating upstairs. Parking is disc on the main street and market place, and for two hours. The cakes and tray bake are also excellent and I believe the owners do all the baking/cooking of themselves and you can tell. Delicious! Payment is cash only.
We went for a late lunch with our granddaughter, who was sleeping (15 months old), and were greeted warmly. Although there wasn't much space for the pushchair, they made room for us. The service was fast and the soup was tasty. When our granddaughter woke up, she loved her cheese on toast. Overall, everything was great, but the best part was the friendly welcome we received.
Love the selection of home cooked food especially the cakes and tray bakes, my all time favourite from the cafe is the caramel short bread. A must visit when in Brampton
I've been visiting the Capon Tree for 14 years, stopping off there on my travels between Newcastle and Dalbeattie. It's a small friendly family run place. I am always amazed at the variety of home cooked food, scones and cakes available. The coffee is always good. The only place I go to in which i can order coffee with confidence. The prices are very reasonable. The food is good. The owners always friendly and attentive. It's clearly very popular with locals. We like to go there to get a slice of Brampron life as well as good food and beverages.
We’d been travelling and needed a late lunch. Most other places were closing at about 3pm but this stayed open until 4:30pm. Enjoyed lovely food and polite and friendly service in clean surroundings. Highly recommended. Honest home made food tasted delicious.
