Costa Coffee - Carlisle

Love the costa coffee chain, all shops are good and the food and drinks are fantastic.

I was very upset to see a woman vaping at a table of 5 inside this coffee shop. The staff did not address the issue, and I would like to remind Costa that it is illegal to vape indoors. The staff should receive retraining as a consequence for ignoring this rule. This behavior is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, despite the very helpful staff, they had been misled by false information from the head office. When I inquired about sugar or sweetener in the herbal tea, I was informed that there was none. However, after drinking it and experiencing the effects, I decided to confirm online. To my surprise, the tea did contain both sugar and sweetener. I was not impressed with the misinformation. Although this was not the fault of the specific venue, Costa should be held accountable for this mistake.

The coffee and snacks were good, despite a bit of a wait due to it being the end of the month weekend.

Most of the seats were cordoned off as they had been cleaned so one didn't have any choice of where you could sit. We normally like to sit looking out of the windows people watching. This was not possible even at 15.30 in the afternoon!?
