We went to this restaurant on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The server took our order, but when he brought our plates, we noticed that each one had a gelatinous amount of mayonnaise on the back. It was clear that the plates had not been washed properly. We complained and all the dishes were taken away. However, we were told we would have to wait for clean plates, so we decided to leave. We were disgusted and would not return to this restaurant.
The food at the café was decent. We ordered toasties, coffee, tea, and a Seven Up. However, we felt that the prices were not justified by the quality of the food and drinks. The Seven Up was disappointing as it needed more syrup and tasted like plain soda water. Additionally, the restroom situation was not ideal as there was only one working cubicle for ladies, leading to a long line. The gents' restroom was also not in working order. The overall atmosphere in the shop felt different than usual, with a lack of tidiness, insufficient staff, and a less than enjoyable shopping experience.
Just wanted a snack while shopping in town, had paninis for lunch which were very nice but fairly expensive. Worst thing was the time taken to clear tables, i counted at least 9 tables with dirty plates that hadnt been taken away, people coming to tables had to pile trays on top of others to get a clear table.
We were shopping in the city so decided to have a lite lunch in the store The sandwich I had was the worst I've had in a long time. Soggy bread and tasted terrible, the wife's was toasted fruit bread which she said was ok. Loads of dirty uncleared tables and the place is a little dowdy Looking at the loads of bird pop outside the windows wasn't good either Coffee and tea were fine, staff very pleasant poor overall experience
