Fini's Kitchen - Carlisle

The restaurant is charming, but the food is overpriced and not as good as advertised. We ordered fresh bread but received toast instead, indicating it wasn't fresh. The steak main came with warm tomatoes, an excessive amount of watercress, and a plant pot of French fries, which was disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. The peppercorn sauce resembled more of a gravy. Unfortunately, the cheesecake was the worst I've ever had, despite being a fan of cheesecake.

We celebrated our anniversary at Fini's restaurant and had a wonderful experience. I had mentioned our special occasion in the booking, and we were greeted with a congratulations and a card on our table, which was a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed a three-course meal, with the mussels being a standout and my husband loving the vegetarian curry. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and we will definitely be coming back. The only small criticism is that there was only one vegetarian option, but it's still a five-star experience in our opinion. We look forward to returning and trying out new dishes.
