Golden Fleece - Carlisle

My wife and I stumbled onto the Golden Fleece Inn after a day touring sites along Hadrian's Wall.

When we arrived, we felt appreciated as guests. the staff will know how to make a meal with friendly and efficient service. Eating is very good and presentation first class. the restaurant is comfortable without leaving the gast uncomfortable by feeling that they have to be on their best behavior as in some top restaurants with snobby staff. it was so perfect. well done.

The golden fleece never disappointed, with great food (and wein and real ale) and service every time.

Overpriced eating, tiny portions, uncooked chips. unacceptable waiting to be shown on table.

After a day to foot hadrians wall we were recommended the golden fleece. we were in the orchard house and the owner took us there and left us after our meal. Eat brilliant and the personal was so smart in their tweeted waist. beautiful quiet meal and very enjoyed us. would return safely in the future.
