Toby Carvery Carlisle

Easy to book online. was a little disappointed that it was only 6pm and the carvery had no turkey left, but cook really friendly and the rest of the kitchen was delicious and hot aswell, slightly long wait for carvery and seemed busy to make delivery orders also drink machine for refilling, was not working, but in the position to get drinks for a refill at the bar.

First time in the Toby as we travelled over from Dumfries having recently moved to Scotland. Served by Joanna who could of been more helpful and despite it being busy, nothing was too much trouble. Great service. Colette was the carver. Friendly welcome and again great service. Good to see warm friendly staff. We will be visiting again

We felt welcome. The food was good and plentiful. The fly in the ointment was the long wait at the carvery. Only one person carving, but a young woman was busy putting up takeaway. I think that people at the counter should be served before takeaway orders. 15 minutes is a long time to wait in a queue.

It was quite a busy day, but Staff still had time and was friendly and helpful to everyone. I like the fact well behaved dogs are welcome and was able to take my dog into the bar with me

Unfortunately two of the dishes I requested were unavailable and the third I ordered was very disappointing. The server was lovely and the restaurant is cosy but the food this time was poor
