The Middlesex Diner - Carlisle

This diner knows how to do salads. When I order DD here (reasonably priced too, and no delivery fee for me! I have narrowed in on their salads because they are sooooo good. They dont skimp on their toppings, especially any meats. I just ordered their Cobb Salad and opened the container and couldnt even see anything else under the grilled chicken, there was so much piled on. Not to mention they give you a whole styrofoam cup of dressing so you never have to worry about running out! I highly recommend this place just for their salads. Always on point and my only go-to now for lunch.

Disappointing. The waffles were thin and soggy, syrup was low calorie, the butter packets tasted sour like they had expired. The sausage links were hard and over cooked. The milk shake was good but we ordered 2 and only received 1. We wont be ordering here again.

Being a traveler, I've gone to plenty of diners. While visiting the Harrisburg area, this diner was recommended. It's in a large and growing area but the diner held on to it's small, neighborhood charm which appeals to me. When I arrived and I seated quickly despite there being a large amount of people...the line moved quickly. The server was friendly and my food was served quickly. The portions were huge (the basic trademark of a good diner). The food was great and was almost too much to finish. It was an excellent meal. The total cost was very reasonable considering what I ordered and how much was on my plate! Then too, don't forget about dessert. All appears to be homemade. When back to Harrisburg for the next car service, this will be be my first choice! Great place for kids and for larger families. The price is right! One word of caution for anyone with an autistic family member, it is loud and a lot of stimulation happening. Enjoy!

The food was amazing. Staff was on top of everything. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Perfect breakfast spot.
