Marshall Davis Wine - Carlton

Was recently here during my vacation and was recommended by family. They have a membership to the wine club and wanted us to try it out. We enjoyed the tasting and the atmosphere. We bought a few bottles, some t-shirts, and signed up for the membership. I highly recommend this place. Please visit them. They are a smaller family owned/run business with high quality.

Excellent wine, excellent service. Can't wait to go back!

We tried a lovely Rosé made from Pinot Noir, which had a beautiful pale red hue. It had a good acidity and nice fruity notes that made us think of various food pairings. It’s also enjoyable on its own if you just want to sip. We ended up buying a couple of bottles of the Rosé. They also offered a nice Sauvignon Blanc, which is a new release with great acidity; it would pair perfectly with some good cheese for a relaxing evening. We also tasted two Pinot Noirs: the Ryan Davis, which we purchased, and a Caves Selection that was fermented in a large barrel. The latter had a nice flavor that I suspect will mellow out over time. The Ryan Davis, however, stood out to us with its excellent fruit and acid balance and is ready to drink now, which is why we chose it. They offer a Syrah that wasn’t as full-bodied as I prefer, and their Cabernet Sauvignon was quite tannic and on the jammy side for my taste. But for those who enjoy a bolder wine, it could be a great option. In short, if you appreciate tannins, this might be a delightful choice for you. Overall, the prices seemed fair, the service was good, and the timing of the wine tastings was just right. We shared tastings, and there was enough wine in each glass for us to really get a sense of its character. This was a lovely stop, and I encourage you to check it out. The people running this winery are wonderful.

I had an amazing experience with excellent hospitality. Ryan consistently ensures that my wife and our guests enjoy their time. I really hesitate to share this hidden gem, but these folks truly deserve recognition. Without a doubt, this is my favorite spot to relax and catch sports on TV at the tasting room.

I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant! The wines were excellent, and the staff was wonderful. Once you’ve sampled all the Pinot varieties, I highly recommend trying the Marshall Davis Syrah. It's absolutely fantastic and offers a nice change of pace.
