Lemongrass Melbourne - Carlton

Sure Thai takeaway is nice and comforting, but then you have this food which is a whole different experience. Absolutely amazing food, clearly cooked with a lot of love and skills. We got some sort of mixed platter as a starter which was like nothing...I’ve ever had in a Thai restaurant before. Beautifully presented with plenty of flavour. Staff are polite and attentive, good selection of wines. One of our favourite spots in Melbourne!

Looking at some of the beautiful old architecture around Carlton and decided to have lunch in Lygon street as we were at the Southern end, and not feeling like Italian, the menu at the Lemongrass looked good. Red chicken and Beef Massaman curries were...the orders and were delights to remember real Thai food ! Service was good, prices reasonable and friendly staff, in all a lovely lunch experience.

Great food, it came out super fast felt we could have slowed the experience down and savoured it a bit more but would highly recommend to others

My group of eight ordered Pad Thai with prawn chicken, and unfortunately, we were disappointed with the meal. The noodles were overcooked and the portion size was not generous. The dish lacked flavor and only had one prawn and a few pieces of chicken. There were no vegetables in the dish, only bean sprouts and crushed peanuts on the side. Despite being dissatisfied, I did not say anything to the staff to avoid making my companions uncomfortable. The meal cost $24, which was not worth it. On the bright side, we did enjoy the wine. Overall, the Pad Thai was not up to par and I could have made a better version myself.
