Condado Tacos - Carmel

Alyssa hooked ya boi up with some tacos and for that I'm forever grateful.

Came in for dinner on Friday night and the place was packed! Our food came out fast and was fresh, the server was great! We will definitely be back!

The street corn guacamole was incredible! I will certainly be returning!

To start, I ordered a prickly pear margarita, which was delicious. Now, onto the meal — it’s not your typical Mexican food. Everything is à la carte, meaning chips and salsa cost $2. The green salsa has a verde flavor, while the red salsa is spicier but packed with good flavor. The chips are house-made, and you can tell they’re freshly cut tortilla chips that are deep-fried. Everything tasted incredibly fresh! For my main course, I ordered tacos. You can choose from suggested options or create your own. I opted to build mine with steak and shredded chicken. The setup features a hard shell in the middle, wrapped in a flour tortilla, with a thin layer of beans inside. You can pick from various toppings — I went with cilantro, lettuce, and cotija cheese. I also got sour cream and guacamole on the side. I enjoy spicy food, and the guacamole definitely had a kick, though my partner found it a bit too spicy and would skip it next time. The process involves choosing your shell, meat, cheese, and then 2-3 toppings, like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Note that rice and beans cost extra, and while you could order a bowl, I wanted to enjoy the full taco experience. My total for chips, salsa, tacos, a prickly pear margarita, and a soda came to around $48. I would definitely return, though it’s not a cozy atmosphere — I recommend avoiding a seat by the door in the winter.
