Bodega Boutique El Legado - Carmelo

Until now in Uruguay. Excellent wine and food. Go for lunch and enjoy all the excellent wine that flows through, the perfect way to spend an afternoon. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable and quick to react if I wanted to arrange our visit. Even when hanging up with Luna, the friendly dog was great. You also take credit cards now if you have read the older reviews that mention that they do not.

This is a very special place to visit if you have the opportunity. From nearby Carmelo wineries, I think El Legado has the best wines. We did the asado lunch $60 per person), which includes a full tasting and tour $25 worth) and thought this was definitely worth. Super friendly family and staff!

Always a pleasure to enjoy the wonderful wines and lovely ambiance at Bodega El Legado. My brother from California joined me this time and he fell in love with this family owned winery. Maria, Bernardo and their sons are so welcoming with their open arms. The winery history is amazing. It now has a charming boutique inn which is perfect to spend a night or two in the beautiful surroundings. My absolute favorite winery in Uruguay...and a definite must see!!!
