Jersey Mike's Subs - Carpinteria

The owner of this Jersey Mike's is perhaps the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered. While we were getting sandwiches this afternoon, he called the store to fire one of the two employees working. This disrupted our service, as the staff member making our sandwiches had to stop to answer the phone. After a few minutes of back-and-forth conversation, he handed the phone to the other employee who was being let go. It was incredibly frustrating. This establishment really needs to close down so the owner can stop profiting from a revolving door of new staff every week. He needs to either learn how to be a professional business owner or find a different job, perhaps in a position where he thinks he belongs. It's unbelievable!

Today, I specifically requested no mayo due to a soy allergy, yet my sandwich was slathered in mayo. This has made me feel uneasy about eating there, despite the availability of safe options for my allergy, as I'm not confident that they're paying attention to the orders. It's concerning that they would make substitutions without checking with the customer when allergies are involved. I'm truly disappointed because I genuinely enjoy the food—when they get the orders right, that is. I even called today to ask if they could remake my incorrect sandwich, but they told me they couldn't help me because the manager wasn't available. What?!

The best deal is the giant size! The Chicken Philly on parmesan is excellent when it’s hot. Overall, I give the food a perfect 5 out of 5!

While on a road trip with our dog, we were tired and hungry so stopped here for a sandwich. The first thing I noticed was how dirty the door was then interior wasn't much better. The crew were very unfriendly and could have cared less if I was there or not. We were anxious to use the restroom after driving 300 miles but NOOO it was out of order. Then what looked like a street person just walks in an uses it. Meanwhile, I'm buying $25 worth of food and can't use it? The guy making the chicken sandwich couldn't have been slower. I waited while he looked to be just walking around doing nothing. After receiving the sandwiches, they were nothing great and I'm glad we don't live in the area because we'd certainly never go back.

I give one star to this place looks dirty as soon as you walk-in, next time I will definitely go across the street to Subway!!!!!
