Acme Food Beverage Co - Carrboro

We visited Acme for the first time tonight. We had some trouble finding it at first. The front of the restaurant wasn't very impressive, but the interior was beautiful. We dined on the back terrace, which had a lovely ambiance. My partner ordered the sausage dish and enjoyed it. I chose the fried chicken for my main course, which was also delicious. We also tried the cornbread, which was decent but we may opt for a different side next time. The service was good overall.

The waitress was very friendly and personable. The salad was delicious, but the quiche was not hot. We sat in a partially covered outdoor area. The restaurant was moderately busy on Mother's Day. I would definitely return.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was perfect and all of the staff were very friendly. Travis and Garrett, who are twins, were incredibly polite and accommodating, making our experience truly exceptional. It felt like a five-star restaurant. We are from Boston and are already planning to fly back as soon as possible!

Acme is one of my favorite restaurants in carrboro. Unfortunately, the Mother's Day brunch we just went to was really bad. eating for the brunch was bad, the choice was different from what was on the menu. the service seemed to be unclear what is different than I experienced there before. the soft bowl poboy was a soft bowl crab on a Hamburger bee. salmon and maize flour cakes just didn't taste good. Pity, because normally it's really a great place. will never return to Mother's Day.

I grew up in Carrboro but never really had the opportunity to eat here. My better half was bored of the same old food we eat in Durham but we wanted to celebrate. I suggested Acme I’m so glad I did.We got the cornbread first. Delicious. Perfect portion for the two of us. For our entrees I got the Braised Beef Short Rib with carrot puree chow chow. I added on a side of Mac. I’m not normally a huge fan of carrot purée but this was unlike anything I’ve ever had. And the crust on that mac cheese? Unbelievable. I think it was the best meal I’ve ever had. My partner said the same of his— he got the blackened salmon with cheese grits black beans.We finished our meal with the Key Lime Tart. The sherbet was AMAZING, but we agreed the tart was too tart to finish.I appreciated our wait staff so much. They made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. I cant wait to come back.
