Venable Rotisserie Bistro - Carrboro

We opted to dine outdoors, where there are several tables sheltered under an open tent. As the sun set, strands of light were turned on, enhancing the pleasant atmosphere. I wanted to keep my meal light to save room for dessert, so I started with the bread and butter. The butter was perfectly softened for spreading, and the bread was simply delicious. For my main course, I ordered the "genomes," which was essentially a Caprese salad featuring mozzarella, basil, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. While I would have preferred thicker tomato slices, that's just my personal taste. For dessert, I chose the green tea cream glasses, and they were fantastic. The custard was wonderfully smooth and creamy, perfectly complemented by the pleasantly thick sugar layer on top.

I've been a regular at Venable in recent years, and I always enjoy their waffles or Huevos Rancheros. Dining there is never a letdown. If you’re a college student, I highly recommend setting aside around $35 (including a 15-20% tip) and heading there for brunch. Just be sure to arrive early, as it tends to get quite busy on weekends! Treat yourself and your friends to a great meal!

My wife and I really enjoy this restaurant. The menu is innovative, and the soups are outstanding. The bar staff is also excellent. One odd thing when you call the restaurant is that the recording is quite lengthy, and it mentions that if you have an emergency, you should stay on the line for a live person to assist you.

Delicious food! I had the Banh mi and the soup of the day. One of the most refreshing and unique Banh mi?s I had. Appropriate price for size. The server was very nice. Fast service. Clean restaurant. There was another server that seemed very unhappy. The atmosphere in the interior was meh.

One of our favorite places in the area. Consistently great food and rotating menu items. Brunch and dinner here are a reasonable price and you will not be disappointed. Every time we go we have a great meal.
