I bought the Half Hog Special for $2.98 per pound, and I’ve been savoring delicious chops, steaks, sausage, and a stunning nitrite-free house-smoked ham for Easter! The quality is incredible for the price, and I really appreciate that they cut and packaged my meat based on my preferences. The hardest part was deciding among Butler's fantastic sausages, which were freshly ground with my order: Basque chorizo, Hot Italian, or bulk breakfast sausage... all so delicious!

When only the best will suffice, this restaurant consistently exceeds my expectations. I am always impressed by their quality, service, and professionalism.

Without a doubt, this is the finest butcher shop in the Nevada/Lake Tahoe region.

Recently visited Butler Meats to pick up some high quality steaks for the BBQ. What a great experience! Squeaky clean and filed to the brim with delicious spices, sauces, mixes, pickled asparagus, green beans, and who knows what else. I will definitely allow more time to look at every shelf on my next visit. What can I say about the beautiful, fresh meats on display except WOW! I chose two amazing TBones nicely marbled, just the right amount of fat, and no gristle running through the meat and a plump, juicy, sirloin. Yummmmm! We used a simple dry seasoning combo and the flavor was amazing! Tender and moist! No sauce, just the steak seasoning. Anyway, definitely give this nice little butcher shop a try before you run to the local big box store. We are very lucky to have a butcher like this so close by. It's located in the stores on the SE corner of Winnie Carson St. Very friendly folks and eager to satisfy!
