El Amigo Mexican - Cary

Place is good, real good. I had been looking for a good Mexican place for awhile, and this is it. They were playing Dr Strange in Spanish, so you know you're in the right spot.

Picky kids loved it! Kids were so happy they forgot to ask for chips! We've been avoiding restaurants due to our kids ages and picky news. This is now a go to. Nice outdoor seating and covered and lots of yummy options. Husband and I get tacos and they've all been tasty.

The empanadas are excellent—light and fluffy. The chicken mole tamales are delicious as well! The carne asada burrito was good, too. It had rice in it, which I didn't particularly care for, but the flavor was fantastic.

This place stands out from most of the Mexican restaurants I've been to. In particular the barbacoa tacos were mouth watering. I also had the chicken and pork tacos as well and they were good too. The flavor was on point, and they also added slices of cooked onion to put inside the tacos, and it added a great flavor touch. The prices are good, and there is plenty of seating with a large covered patio outside that can accommodate big parties too

I had 3 different types of tacos and plantains and they were all delicious! service was fast and eat well price. highly recommended.
