Pizzeria Veritas - Cary

This is my favorite place for NY style pizza. I 've only ever gotten takeout from here, so I can 't comment on the restaurant service or atmosphere. HOWEVER, that being said I always have issues with contacting them. I don 't know what is up with their phone but it 's like playing the lottery on whether or not I can get through to anyone. Often after several rings an automated voice says the memory is full and it hangs up automatically. Would be nice if there was some other way to call or even an online ordering system in place. If I didn 't like their pizza so much I wouldn 't care and give up but this is super frustrating. Also they don 't serve their 18 pizzas on the weekends (I 'm assuming oven space is the issue?)Anyway... love the pizza. Please just fix your phone system! UPDATE Went back this month and noticed a huge change in the pizza flavor and quality. Wondered why the change and discovered new ownership. Very disappointed. We came in with a larger group and were told that if we wanted to put 2 tables together, we had to set up and put them back ourselves after we were finished. Of course we did, but what? It was a little rude. I work in the food industry, and would never ask a customer to do that.The main reason I won 't eat here anymore are the changes to the pizza.

New ownership tweaked theDough, I think, not nearly as good. I am gonna to try them again soon and maybe adjust my review but it makes me very sad as this has been my go-to for years.Edit: I'm guessing maybe I just got a bad batch of dough that time. It tasted great again this time. The place to go for NY style pizza.

Pretty darn good pizza. The atmosphere is low key and their food is awesome. They have some more unusual pizza types and toppings beyond the standard stuff, too.

Today, after several weeks without coming, I found a giant change, I have been in Cary for a year and I have tried several pizzerias until I found Veritas. I was a big fan of the old management, so I ran to Google to look at the reviews and found a couple that weren't good; I got scared and wanted to run away, but you should never judge too soon... I must say that the girl who takes your order is not so friendly but not rude either, is the pizza different? Yeah! It was bad? Not at all, it was very delicious and the love is evident, obviously it is shocking for those of us who loved the old administration so much, but i still keep the place as a favorite! Thank you very much for putting so much love into your food, it was very delicious and I will continue coming back... I hope that we former customers give it the opportunity and support the new management and refrain from putting a bad comment comparing them... ??? much love and success

This has been our go-to spot since we moved to the area a little over a year ago. We would consistently get the chicken Tikka or nashville hot chicken pizza. Looks like the ownership changed the crust and now it's cracker crust and dry, which has ruined the pizza. The toppings are decent but ultimately need to find a new place now. Sucks because this is the closest we had gotten to NY/CT pizza here. Hope to see some changes in the dough quality to consider coming back.
