I was in this restaurant a few days ago. great location, but unfortunately it is the only plus. they wait 20 minutes to order their order, then another 35 minutes for water or drinks. they wait for the meal over an hour 1h20min. you. pull cold pommes. it is not better at the adjacent tables. complain about meals, long wait for the possibility of payment, waiter apologise, generally a chaos around it not worth it. I had a dirty table. I went to the waiter's office, I took 3 serviettes to wet them with water in the toilet and in this situation myself, without waiting for the waiter to clean up. the owner of the space (rodolfo machado,) led by his own experience, showed me on a quite primitive way that it should put toilet paper in the toilet and that I should return the serviettes. he is rough and ignorant. the restaurant has not only dirty tables, it is slow, but its simplicity is the main dish on the menu of this restaurant. I asked the waiter if it was an incident or a rule. he told me rodolfo is a well-known claw he hates himself. to summarize a complete failure, despite the fact that madeira is great and practically only nice friendly people. rodolfo and this restaurant pamper this picture.
We visited here as the culmination of a thrilling afternoon swimming in the lido. As it was February, the lido was unattended but as we were already ready to swim, we could just walk in. The restaurant is within touching distance of the sea ...don’t be tempted to eat near the car park or the public toilets as this place is head and shoulders above. Great menu and friendly staff.
Perfect authentic evening next to the waves’ rumbling. We had giant mussels in tomato/pepper sauce, cute and well seasoned clams, and super sized grilled sea bass with potatoes and vegetables. OMG everything was just to our taste! The waiter was very nice, fun, carrying… we...haven’t had such a nice diner anywhere else on the Island. Everything sounded true, authentic, natural and welcoming.
