Ramos & Ramos Mare Alta Lda - Cascais

It is not easy to find this restaurant, since it is not included in the guides of restaurants. The Maré Alta is for the local people who like fresh fish. The fish here is the king. We went to dinner with some friends who live nearby and are regulars. We were five and we chose a large grilled sea bass for everyone. While we waited they brought small fried mackerels that were very good. At the end they served a kind of 'Pudim Abade de Priscos ' ' which was divine. I decided to write this review in honor of those who work in the Maré Alta, and not to disclose this site should remain as it is to the satisfaction of fresh fish lovers, well prepared with excellent service.

Sorry I didn't take a photograph, I had a truly, simple, fresh, delicately cooked fish lunch with boiled potatoes and a tasty plate of greens. The fish I chose myself from the ice fridge, it was a big piece of bbq Portuguese swordfish and it was delicious! It was so big I brought half home. I also had a delicious homemade chicolate mousse which was divine, rich and very indulgent. The best part was my totally fluent in English speaking attendent who was kind, attentive, not rushed, very present and gave me lots of interesting facts about the fish etc Its likely not a place that gets many tourists as its not in those areas. It was soon filled with locals sitting around tables sharing big fish and pots of yummy stuff. A real family place with real food! I loved it.

Desculpe não ter tirado foto, comi um almoço de peixe verdadeiramente simples, fresco e delicadamente cozido, com batatas cozidas e um saboroso prato de verduras. O peixe eu mesmo escolhi na geladeira, era um pedaço grande de peixe-espada português de churrasco e estava delicioso! Era tão grande que trouxe metade para casa. Também comi uma deliciosa mousse de chicolate caseira que era divina, rica e muito indulgente. A melhor parte foi meu atendente totalmente fluente em inglês, que foi gentil, atencioso, não apressado, muito presente e me deu muitos fatos interessantes sobre os peixes, etc. Provavelmente não é um lugar que recebe muitos turistas, pois não é nessas áreas. Logo ficou cheio de moradores locais sentados em volta de mesas compartilhando peixes grandes e potes de coisas deliciosas. Um verdadeiro lugar familiar com comida de verdade! Eu amei.

Gosto muito do ambiente familiar deste restaurante. A comida é ótima e são todos muito simpáticos e prestáveis. Recomendo.
