El Amigo - Cashmere

Permanently closed. I asked clerk next door and she confirmed it was permanently closed.

On our way through Cashmere on the way to Methow valley and was planning to stop for lunch at El Chiavo. They were closed and we yelped this place with a little trepidation. 4.5 stars, 3 reviews? Hmmm. Well, the three reviews were right. This is a solid place! Quality food, friendly staff! Really enjoyed lunch here!

There very limited Mexican Style Restaurants around in Cashmere. My wife and I were craving some Mexican food after after a trip to Lake Chelan. We were disappointed that alot business were closed due for being a Sunday. So far they open 7 days of week from 11am-9 pm. Service was fast clean and their waitresses were friendly. I had the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo which is my favorite dish, which I tend to order in every Mexican Restaurant. Taste was wonderful, the chips and salsa were good with enough taste and not too spicy. I know I will be visiting there soon again :

Had the cibiche and steak tacos, both were great. Quick service. Sweet new place with lots of seafood

What a happy surprise to find this BRAND NEW place! The original place we were heading to was closed so we decided to take a chance on this one. It is adjoined with the meat market next door, so we thought it would probably be ok. This restaurant specializes in seafood, which is a refreshing change from the usual mundane menu options found at every other Mexican restaurant. I had the tilapia fish tacos and hubby had the carne asada tacos. Both plates come with rice and beans. Our meal started with chips and salsa and bean dip sprinkled with cheese. I will be more specific: House made tortilla chips, salsa and beans. I knew then we were in for a great meal and we weren 't disappointed! Everything is made from scratch including the delicious spice rub on the meat in hubby 's tacos. My fish tacos were great, cooked perfectly and not over-sauced. This is a family owned business, with everything made from scratch, and open seven days a week! (10:30-9) . If what you are interested in is freshly made good quality Mexican food then El Amigo Restaurant should be on your must try list. Do it now, because when word gets out I predict they will be busy and you will have to wait for a seat. We don 't live in the area and are passing through and have already decided that on our way back home we are stopping by for another great meal and this time I 'm trying a shrimp dish.
