Vintriga - CASTAGNOLE DELLE LANZE

Biking around in the area finding this gem of a restaurant. Amazing service topped with fantastic drinks and food for lunch. Will definitely come back for a full dinner meal another time.

Tonight we chose Vintriga for our supper and we could easily walk to it, always a bonus. We were greeted and made welcome. We ordered our meal whilst having a drink and we were presented with a selection of delicious homemade appetisers all extremely tasty. The four dishes we chose were all outstanding for flavour and presentation. The selection of beautiful stylish dishes and bowls etc were a delight. The hosts were very knowledgeable about the wine and food they were proud to serve us. There was some quiet chilled music which was perfect so often it’s too loud.

Wonderful enoteca, with lots of interesting Piedmontese wines, and delicious food, aligned to the seasonal produce. A seafood aspect too. Seven hour slow cooked octopus was tender great flavoured. Veal tartare had great flavours too. Good pastas and interesting sauces: fried seafood really well flavoured. Highly recommended. We had recommended to drink an amazing bottle of 2013 timorasso from Marina Coppi, which was outstanding. Loads of great cheaper wines from high quality small growers available too.

Bella esperienza tra antipasti tipici e una tartara di fassona con sale e fonduta di formaggio, forse la migliore che abbia mai provato. Gestito da ragazzi giovani ma capaci, in particolare in cucina, il menù è tutt'altro che infinito nella scelta, ma probabilmente hanno voluto differenziarsi da tutte le altre offerte per cui ci sono anche un po' di piatti di pesce, forse poco tipici per la zona. Vini ovviamente ben scelti a prezzi quasi bassi.
