Cafe De Paris - CASTEGGIO

Bar near the railway station, now unused. He's got a space outside with the tables, we got coffee and brioche.

We entered this cafe attracted by the Art Nouveau exterior structure which, indeed, recalls Parisian premises. For us a pleasant break for coffee and drinks after spending on the Sunday market. The Casteggio market deserves a ride.

A place from times gone by, where the furnishings highlight the wood paneling and red velvet chairs and sofas. All very pleasant. Despite the chaos of the adjacent market, the staff were helpful, professional and courteous. The aperitif (two tomato juices) was accompanied by popcorn, and two small bowls of bagged chips.....In short, you don't expect an aperitif at 11am though......Price 14 euros.

A family-run establishment that has retained all the charm of bygone years. I often went there when I was little with my dad, the Sunday morning aperitif was there.
