The staff is friendly and professional, the ambience is very romantic in Castellammare del Golfo 's harbor. We are fish lovers but unfortunately we are allergic to crustaceans so we had a lot of wonderful fish dishes, a great wine and a glorious dessert. We got high quality food with excellent ingredients for an honest price.
Probably one of the worst restaurants in Castellammare, menus practically illegible, one with some things less but this is the thing that matters least. We arrive and after a while of waiting we are seated by a lady who had probably found acquaintances sitting at another table and wasn't the least bit interested in others, we order an appetizer with cooked and raw meat which is quite abundant but of questionable freshness and quality, it arrives after about 40 minutes and there were 3 place settings... 2 first courses, another 40 minutes, the paccheri were good, the risotto must have had caviar, which was not received, salmon and prawns, you could only taste the lemon zest, not even mentioned on the menu. The worst is with the wine, no mention on the menu, no menu, the owner recommends one to us but I ask the price, we are told one and then on the bill we find another. We spent almost an hour asking for 2 coffees, the entire staff was busy drinking and doing their own business sitting at a table at the back, it was a shameful scene!! Unfortunately we were deceived by many good reviews which were probably made by friends or people who didn't try anything better nearby, but I honestly tell you to try something else, Castellammare offers a lot and also of excellent quality, I conclude with the quality-price ratio which I can define as terrible, never again!
The place in the small port of Castellammare is beautiful and evocative. Excellent special dishes with a homemade taste. A 4 on serve
I don't know if it has changed management, but a few years ago I remember the quality of the food being decidedly higher, it didn't excite me at all. The menu then presents very few alternatives for those like my girlfriend who suffer from an allergy to dried fruit, everything has almonds and pistachios and it is possible to ask not to put them in almost any dish. The place is really characteristic and well done, the wine list is complete, I expected more from the food.
Young and dynamic management. Excellent product quality!
