No problem for local Portuguese people. They received an appetizer and a bottle of wine almost immediately after entering the restaurant. Very unusual in Portugal, never happened to us anywhere else during our holiday. The fish of my wife was half raw, when we mentioned this the waiter just shrugged. No reaction, no apology. Finally, everybody paid with credit cards, for us: Only cash! Very unfriendly. NEVER AGAIN!
Although it was not one of the best meals I have ever had, it was probably the best value for money I have had ! A three course traditional Portuguese meal with warm bread and olives AND two bottles of house wine 18.5 Euros !! The service was very good and the food simple, tasty and more than enough. Will definitely be going here again. A great find !!
My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this excellent restaurant when passing through Castelo Branco and we were certainly not disappointed with our find. The restaurant offers simple, traditional, Portuguese food served by friendly and helpful waiters. We felt extremely satisfied after our meal and even more so when we were told the price! This restaurant is definitely worth a visit for anyone who is looking for a small taste of Portugal for a very reasonable price. We look forward to visiting again.
