Il Drago Snack - CASTIGLION FIORENTINO

We're back in Castiglion Fiorentino for a few weeks and couldn't wait to go back for pizza and sweets. Everything was just as I remembered it delicious. Please read my more detailed review below. So glad it survived the pandemic.

I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant everything was just perfect. The employees were very friendly and super nice, my family and i loved everything and the food was super delicious! I have never eaten as well as there! Especially the meat it was just indescribably delicious!!! The next great thing was that our doberman was accepted! Of course he also enjoyed the service ; .He also got a bowl of water and of course he got a lot of scratched by the stuff. Thanks very much! Because of the service, our last evening in tuscany was fantastic! I can recommend the restaurant to everyone! Grazie mille!

We stayed in Castiglion Fiorentino for several weeks and this became our go to place. The croissants were the best we’d had (especially the ones with apricot marmalade), the pizza was divine (several different kinds that you could have various size slices cut, good coffee and a great happy hour with a wonderful buffet. It was served seven days a week and was free if you bought a $5 drink. What a deal!!! There’s both outside and inside seating and it seems to be a regular meeting place for locals. We went all the time and always enjoyed it. You MUST give it a try. You won’t be sorry!

We stopped by Il Drago (aka Tirovino) located on a roundabout on the main road after a three and a half hour drive and a few minutes to our hotel, for a recuperative cool glass of Pinot Grigio. Very friendly staff and a great place to stop by, whether for a drink, snack or restaurant meal.

The people who work at Drago Bar are so incredibly nice to my study abroad students every summer. Every time we take the train, we all but invade this bar, and they couldn't be more friendly and accommodating to us! Especially the wonderful woman with the purple spiked hair!
