L'isola Verde - CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO

Best pizza, pasta and seafood we have had in Umbria. We had been here the previous year and have been dreaming about it. It was even better when we came back this year.

The pizzas were very good and well-priced on a special pizza Wednesday , but there as no house wine, which was a disappointment as the local red would have gone perfectly with them. The service was OK. However, we were overcharged on the bill and only realised the following day when we had no opportunity to do anything about it. There was no excuse for the mistake as there was only one other table there at the time. It may well have been a genuine mistake, but the person serving was more concerned about going outside for a smoke than paying attention to us. We shan 't go back.

Stefania, the owner, is really nice person. She serves really good handmade pasta. The restaurant in italian style. Very good atmosthere inside.
