Castle Taj Indian Restaurant

By schloss taj by doordash ordered. the lamb corma was disappointing with hard, chewing lamb. another few hours of cooking can have helped, as it was in the ground uneingbar. the butter chicken sauce had a nice taste, but a little exaggerated. the big steamed rice doesn't seem to be big and we just managed to feed two. will not be ordered again.

I don't know what happened to this restaurant, but the only thing we ordered was the rice. we ordered a fish curry and the fish in it not well mixed with the sauce and tasted. the other dishes. were extremely bland and were more sauce than veg or meat. we have ordered for years, away from this restaurant and after this experience we will not go back at all. if we arrange the restaurant to complain, they could not have been cared for less.

Will not be ordered again from here. if they like to accompany with the necessary sauce, then they avoid here. have ordered from here pickups and ask each time for sauce to go with them and always not enough. it is expensive compared to other quality Indian restaurants. in the opposite and if that is the case, they would hope that they could at least tackle. but even worse the last three commands that I have brought them to their attention and asked them to prepare enough, and each time they have promised that they will and 3 have settled in succession. if they don't fix it, don't promise! 3 streiks and out, many good other Indian restaurants in the opposite much more generous with their guides for starters, and cheaper, so good negligence

Every second dish had an issue. Suspect this restaurant reheats some dishes prepared in bulk before the start of service, Every second dish was cold or not properly heated through. The Lassies required remaking and the dishes were not fresh. This is a big red...flag. The chef/owner was patrolling the tables and would have been better served training the help and cooking the food as opposed to patrolling the room. Whoever was cooking had taken their eyes off the task. The curry was sickly. The menu too big to properly cater. The Uber eats and other services had more trade but likely way less income. Really guys get your act together tell the food service companies where to go and make your money up by improving meals quality and getting the simple things right. I won’t be back until the place changes hands to see if this space can be remedied. The Peshwari naan is the key way to tell if a subcontinental restaurant has its act together. The naan was very very very ordinary. After checking it appeared that the naan was not a dish done well at all. It is an accompaniment not a main meal. If side dishes are prepared with such disdain then the expected outcome writes itself for the mains.

Visited early on Saturday evening, was quiet when I got there but started to get busier. Also doing a roaring take-away service! The serving sizes I knew were fairly large from prior experience so I skipped the entree. Chose Chicken Aachari, good call as very...tasty with a nice pickle after taste. Reasonable choices on the wine list for beers, white and red wine without being too expansive always a sensible option in my opinion. My drink and complimentary pappadom arrived quickly and then the meal arrived in a reasonable time (I am always suspicious if it turns up too quickly). Service was efficient and friendly and I was asked twice how everything was. All in all a very pleasant experience recommended.
