The Hunted Hog, - Castlemartyr

If you look for a cosy place for a drink or a meal, the Hunted Hog is a great choice.. and the menu has a choice of plates quite different from any other restaurant I have been in Ireland, so much recommended

Got the scampi and the chowder both were delicious

Food served fresh hot. Typical pub menu, limited in selection available. Staff is very friendly attentive to our needs. Could lose the TV which distracted from conversation......

Fish taco was absolutely delicious. Fire wasn't lit on one of the coldest nights of the past year which was disappointing. Grub and drinks were top class though. Visited two nights in a row.

When I booked, for a lunch on 31st Dec, for a group of 12, I was not told that they had two seatings, and so this was a surprise when we arrived and were told. Also, our table of 12 was split into 2 tables of 6 people. Really? The waitron was quite surly and refused to make a plan. So we made a plan, and had a great lunch.
