Another great place in Castleton. Just stayed for drinks. Gets very busy with walkers. Pet friendly. Very comfortable and clean. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value

We arrived on a Saturday evening for a meal. Placed orders, then proceeded to wait for around one hour. No food was coming out of the kitchen, so walked over to the bar to ask where the meals were where a worried staff member said they 're plating it up literally right now Short time later it arrived. Completely overcooked burgers. Normally I 'd be fine with them slightly on the tougher side but they were overcooked to the extent it was leaving black, coal like substance on the buns. One side was cooked far more than the other so it 's like they had been forgotten about on the grill. Chips were not too nice either, incredibly greasy. Now obviously the meal really wasn 't up to standards and warrants a lower star rating than I 've given. The only reason I 've given the three star review is because the gentleman I spoke to, I 'm assuming the manager, came over to our table, listened to what complaints I had and acted very professionally, offering to swap the food for something else to which I refused, so offered a full refund which I received. Thank you.

Lovely pub great staff didn't stay in a room so cannot comment on that but all looked very nice Service: 4 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Great view, Kid-friendly, Great value
