Paradiso At Willow Park - Castro Valley

I had a fantastic time at Redwood Canyon! I was pleasantly surprised by both its challenges and its beauty. This lush Par 71 course is situated in a stunning forested canyon, making you feel completely removed from the Bay Area. The course was in excellent condition, and the atmosphere was just right for a leisurely round of golf. However, be sure to watch your ball, as there are several large streams and other hazards throughout. I highly recommend playing here if you're in the East Bay!

This place is perfect for beginners like me! The prices are quite reasonable, and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. I saw wild turkeys and deer grazing, which added to the natural experience. There were also many golfers around, and the greens were well taken care of. The fairways were spacious, making for a pleasant game. I would definitely consider returning!

First and foremost, I appreciate that the people who play here are friendly and genuine. The course itself isn't overly challenging, which is nice. However, I do find it to be quite pricey. As someone who enjoys a few Coors Lights on the course and occasionally needs to use the restroom, I think it would be beneficial to have an extra bathroom along the route. Despite these minor issues, it's a fantastic course for the price. I'm looking forward to golfing there in 2020 once the upgrades are finished. One more tip: if you enjoy smoking cigars while playing, make sure to purchase them before arriving, as they don’t sell them on site due to the course being part of East Bay Regional Parks.

Greens are nice, staff nice, fairways wide. The fairways have some rough patches. Was cool, wild turkey, deer, etc. to see.
