Sunshine Cafe - Cathedral City

My friend enjoyed her eggs Benedict as she said the English muffin was crispy and not soggy. My friend is easily impressed as I noticed her eggs were practically hard boiled and not soft poached. As for me, I had what they say is a fan favorite, the banana pancakes which are said to be made from scratch. I suggest they stop making them from scratch and get a case of Krusteaz pancake mix because this cafe's pancakes were flavorless, undercooked and somehow still managed to be dry!

Hands down the best Reuben sandwich I’ve had in a while! The pastrami is to die for. The classic American Diner is alive and well at Sunshine Cafe !!!

It’s been too long since we’ve been here (3 weeks! . This is the classic slow and steady wins the race. No one dish is stand out, but when you need eggs, bacon or sausage and hash browns for breakfast this is the place. Nothing fancy, always friendly, consistently good real food. If you want “brunch” don’t bother.

First time at this restaurant in. We ordered the chicken fried steak the chicken fried steak with way overcooked it was hard as a rock didn't eat it come to potatoes were burnt and have been sitting on the grill for who knows how long absolutely worst experience ever they should be ashamed to even bring you food like this to your table. And this is not a reasonable price breakfast .

Food was hot and filling. Parking is a little rough as it's street parking. We got seating immediately, there was 5-7 minutes before the waitress arrive, no pleasantries initially, but food came fast and we were happy. Maybe it was just busy and she was on a task list. Still, overall, great experience. 3 meals, $60.. not bad for breakfast.
