Tacos El Poblano - Cathedral City

This restaurant is permanently closed, but they haven't updated their status. It still shows as open on Google, which is misleading! I've tried to visit three times when it said they were open, but each time I found them closed. Don't waste your time driving there. Food rating: 1/5.

I absolutely love this place! The staff is fantastic, which makes me eager to come back. Plus, the food is incredible. I'd much rather eat here than at the street vendors down the road from my house. It's definitely a family-friendly spot, and there's ample open parking available.

The restaurant is clean, but a flooded toilet isn’t their fault. The food was just okay; the burrito was a bit on the small side and lacking in substance. People are willing to pay more for a larger burrito, and it’s disappointing to find one that’s so small. Unfortunately, there were no chips and salsa available either! They offer both Mexican and domestic beers in bottles, but they weren’t as cold as I prefer. Plus, they didn’t provide any cold glasses for the beer. The utensils are plastic, which feels a bit off for a place that attracts a Mexican clientele. The salsa could use more spice, and some lively Mexican music would enhance the atmosphere. On a positive note, the TV did have Spanish subtitles, which was a nice touch.

I recently spent $30 on food that felt like it came from a gas station. I ordered the nacho supreme, but all I received was some chopped chicken on tortilla chips with a drizzle of liquid cheese—no vegetables or anything else. Then I tried their four-taquito deal, and it turned out to be a warm tortilla with Barbacoa, and that was it. I always thought taquitos were supposed to be deep-fried! It’s an understatement to say I feel like I wasted my money. Sadly, I won’t be returning. I own a shop in the same parking lot and was hoping to find a new lunch spot, but I’m incredibly disappointed. To top it off, I didn’t even get any napkins or utensils with my takeout order.
