Most Hunan foods are spicy, but their chili pepper is not so spicy what is good for most people who cannot eat spicy. - The guards are very friendly. -Food is Chinese taste, they have a huge menu book with pictures for every single transition Chinese food. - Quality and quantity are great. It is worth visiting again.
Authentic Hunan style Chinese food (depending on what you order). The fried pork ribs are good (denders and full taste). The fish in spicy broth is always good. Flocky pieces of fish dipped into a bowl with spicy pepper broth. The service is not the best. Sometimes the waiting staff is not attentive. From what I read. American Chinese food is terrible. So don't buy any dishes you find in your local Chinese American. Like many restaurants. Some dishes are met or missed.
Delicious, authentic Chinese dishes in Hunan style. The menu is very comprehensive and diverse, and while most elements may seem intimidating, there are many options with almost universal appeal. For someone who tries this restaurant for the first time, I would recommend chicken with chilli and nuts and the bean made with pork with or without meat according to preference. The atmosphere is pleasant and the decor is tasteful. Food preparation is fast, but a little inconsistent. Service is good. The best time to visit is the weekend.
Extensive menu of more authentic than average Chinese place, open late for your convenience. I've only ever ordered carry-out, but their front of house and those who take carry-out orders are very friendly. Their Mao's Pork is one of the best pork dishes I've ever experienced!
Authentic good food. I just saw the comment Haiyan left, and felt it is really a culture difference. In China, when we pack leftover, we never pack the oil and liquid. First, it is hard to keep and it is so easy to leak or spill, making everywhere dirty. Second, it is not healthy to use the oil or liquid for a second time, especially when it is cooked with heavy spices. Third, it is a kind of convention and preference that no customer would like to keep the liquid leftover. I do think Chinese food are delicious, and the Chinese cuisine in the US is just a tip of the iceberg. There should be more Chinese restaurants in the US, with fair price and different categories. Enjoy your experience having Chinese food. To me, it is definitely a big part of beauty in my life. About another comment in terms of fat in a dish. In China, it is not rare to see fat in a meat dish, because meat with fat tastes delicious, and in the old time, people precious fat more than lean, even now a lot of people like meat with fat though the fat is not healthy enough. Personally I never eat fat, so I would avoid ordering dish like that. But authentic dishes are like that. It's hard for authentic restaurant to decide whether to keep its core, which is authentic or convert, since they provide not only food but also culture and history. I think it is the same with Duncan donut, just imagine it without sugar and chocolate.
