Nice place to meet friends plus delicious food... Perfect for barkada bonding!
I have been to Kuya J Restaurant before but on some other branches. This is the first time that I have been to its SM Cauayan Branch. We arrive there at around 2pm. I think we were that 4th customer there. So there are a lot of empty seats. I am with my mom who is a senior so I wanted to have a seat comfortable for her. So I chose the couch. I told the waiter that I wanted to seat on an empty couch. She insisted that since its just the 2 of us, we should be seating on a chair not a couch. I started to get irritated so I told her, well I am not leaving since no other customers are coming in anyway. When I told her that she got out of my hair and lets us seat on the couch. This is when I started noticing the dirty tables all around us that no one is attending. The dirty floors and even their rest room smells! So now I can’t even start to imagine what their kitchen would look like and how they serve the food. Now, I’m not hungry anymore.
The chicken and baked clam were good. Lumpia is okay but the sauce... not so good. Not the real lumpia sauce. Chopseuy is bland. I can only see few carrots... beans, cabbage. I am even sure if there was a cauliflower or bell pepper. Kare Kare is not that tasty. : You can compare how KuyaJ prepare their food in Metro Manila. At SM Cauayan, it seems like somenof KuyaJ's touch were gone.
You get what you pay for. Not really thrilled about their service. You need to improve people.
