Domaine de Bonnery - Caucalières

Modest but great food and very friendly service in a very charming 'Bistrot de Pays' jn the lovely countryside, only 50 km from Paris and a 10 minute drive

Domaine de bonnery was recommended by friends. the venue is tricky to find, but it is worth it. we have poor French, but with the owners it was possible to book a table. the menu is simple, choose a main from a choice and then a...sweet from another menu. also choose wein etc. we thought ok 2 courses for a fixed price, but then about 10 minutes later a small starter appeared for us to share, yummy, then a few minutes later, then maybe 5 minutes later! this sat down for 4 starters plus loads of nice warm brot between and some free aperitif especially also! my children are teens and used to various foods so enjoy the experience, but there is no child menu. the venue is truly stunning and the dishes were excellent. the service was perfect.

What a wonderful place! the hotel is located in its own estate, with peaches that strive around and beautiful well-trained mountain dogs. fabulous French cuisine, lovingly prepared. excellent selection of dressed and good local weeping. this is a beautiful place for special evenings or party lunches (everything excuse! . we are never disappointed and love come here.
