Ginza - Cebu City

The sashimi and sushi were excellent. Unfortunately the serving size was tiny (4 slices of sashimi, 2 pieces of sushi) and the service was terrible. We would have ordered more but it was next to impossible to get a server to come to the table (the place was not busy at all, less than 10% of the chairs filled). It took 15 minutes just to get the bill after asking twice for it. Would be a 5 star place if the servers didn 't completely abandon their customers. They also have the nerve to charge a service fee .

BEST. JAPANESE. RESTAURANT. If you’re looking for authentic and genuine Japanese cuisine, you have to visit Ginza!

I went there with my Japanese roommate, and a fly fell into her soup. The staff noticed and promptly made a new one. If you're looking for a restaurant with excellent service, this place is definitely a great choice!

I came with a friend who highly recommended the place. Being a first timer, I let her do all the ordering. She ordered an all-Teppanyaki dinner, a complete surf and turf offering which included fish, beef, pork, chicken, seafood combo, and stir fried bean sprouts, and a fruit platter of watermelon, orange slices and pineapple topped with vanilla ice cream. I told my friend that except for the shrimp tempura, the dinner was not very Japanese, and it’s easy to mistake the teppanyaki dishes for Korean. However the dinner was delicious except everything was smothered in the same teriyaki sauce. If you close your eyes, you would not know what kind of meat you’re eating. I guess I’ll have to come back to experience their more traditional Japanese fare such as sashimi, sushi, ramen, miso soup, sukiyaki, etc. The servers were very attentive, friendly and efficient though. Nice cozy place too. Small welcoming Japanese landscaping outside the main entrance.

This restaurant deserves to be recognized as one of the culinary highlights of Cebu. For 40 years, they have been offering high-quality Japanese cuisine accompanied by exceptional service. If you have the chance to meet the owner, consider yourself fortunate—you can engage in a conversation about his business and culinary philosophy.
