Eating at this restaurant feels just like dining in the comfort of my own home, with affordable prices that make me want to come back again and again.
I have dined several times at Lola Saling and I always enjoy my food orders. They specialize in traditional Filipino dishes such as tinola, humba (pork stew), pinakbet, crispy pata, and much more. I don't have to worry about overeating. Although the restaurant is not air-conditioned, it is well-ventilated and cool. I recently noticed that Lola Saling closed her previous location a few weeks ago and relocated to a smaller venue on the same street. The new location has no parking space and only one basic building (cafeteria style). It seems they may be focusing more on catering now. Regardless, customers can still purchase their dishes for takeout, which I have done twice. They have managed to maintain the quality of their food despite the smaller operation. I hope they will eventually open a bigger and better restaurant in the future.
We love Lola Salings. Our go-to dishes are the bark with broccoli, sizzling gambas, spaghetti carbonara, and grilled tuna. While the carbonara is not listed on the menu, it can be requested because it is really delicious. My wife prefers to stick with the main courses. The shakes are made with fresh fruit and are excellent. We highly recommend Lola Salings to anyone looking for a great meal. On Fridays, three talented guitarists play on stage. It's not just a one-time visit, but a place worth going back to many times.
Love this place. I have been here each time I come to Cebu. There is food for everyone. The Beer is ice cold and the fruit shakes are the best. It is open air dinning with a roof but they have air coolers that work...so well and will set one up to blow on you if you ask. The service is very good and the food comes so fast. If you are close and don’t drop in to eat you will miss a hidden jewel in Mandaue.
