Uncle Harry's Five And Dime Tavern

We liked this little bar with the whole story. We could say it was a local meeting place, the bartender knew every name. Great drinks and great bar chairs, super comfortable!

Stopped by on a Thursday night, came with some friends, ordered a busch light and he said he needed to see all my friends ID so I laughed and tried to pay and then he told me he was serious. He said nobody under 21 was supposed to be in the bar at the time, but there was no bouncer or anything. I wasn't about to call all my friends over so I could buy one busch light. Overall bartender had some sort of power trip and decided to make his own rules on who he would and wouldn't serve. Probably a good bar if a decent bartender is there when you go.

Great service and atmosphere. Ben is a wonderful bartender and rally knows his beers.

Truly a gem in every sense of the word. Is it in the rough? Sure. That is the sheer beauty of the polishing the authenticity of this place. Staff that is beyond fabulous, a selection of cocktails, unique beer, and shots that only rivals Traer; all while attracting the type of people that allows you to live life to the fullest without pretension or regret. Bottom line, a good time.*Also, play Sandstorm on the jukebox for street cred. meow.

Great high end beer selection (yes they have the macro classics as well! plus great bartenders that know their stuff and a good atmosphere, all settled in downtown Cedar Falls. One of my favorite places to grab an after-work beer.
