Delicious food served by friendly waiter in a beautiful ambiente. a delightful evening. will be back even if it was a bit expensive. the best we've ever paid in earth!

That was excellent. only negatiw was that the roast beef (both delicious! I was just getting pissed when served and was soon cold on a plate that wasn't hot. the veg was in order. I would say the room was cold, it must be difficult to heat such a large space

I was in the bank holiday for dinner with my partner and it was fab. so last Sunday I brought my mother, 5 years old and 3 years old for Sunday dinner. the staff was fabulous, but eating was just okay. that was just okay. the suppe was cool but well presented. and my children were not in the position for the menu. I think it's just a place for adults and not children. Next week I bring the kids for sandwiches to see how it is. I would recommend the restaurant for adults, but not for families with small children. also it was very overpriced for the food we received. the quality of eating for dinner was much better than the lunch menu dinner

We booked the mill restaurant for a special wedding anniversary. We have been there for Sunday lunch many times so we were really looking forward to a special evening. Firstly we were seated with our backs to the restaurant looking onto a wall the water mill which during the day is spectacular but it was dark on this night. There was a screaming child next to us for the first 40 mins of our time there. We were also seated too near the cheese trolley so the staff had to squeeze past one of our chairs regularly which was uncomfortable. We had to call our waiter over for drinks/menus. There was no attention paid to us. One of our steaks was blue we asked for medium. There was no apology or offer to keep the other one warm while we waited for it to be redone. We waited about 20 minutes to order desserts which by the time someone noticed we had decided to just get the bill which came with again no apologies. There was no consistency in the evening. It was haphazard a bit chaotic considering it wasn’t overly busy the staff were not up the usual standard we have come to expect from Lyon’s estate. We were very disappointed even more so when they never even replied to an email we sent them that night explaining our disappointment.
