Center Point Pork Days

We were traveling from Minnesota to Indiana and were on the lookout for a lunch spot. We always make an effort to find a local restaurant that seems appealing, you know, the kind of place where the locals give you curious looks because you're not from around there! This restaurant was exactly that kind of place. They boasted about having the best tenderloins in Iowa, and as someone who appreciates a good tenderloin sandwich, I had to see if their claim was true. It turns out this place lived up to its reputation! I opted for the smaller sandwich after seeing some of the larger ones being served—I wasn't sure I could handle a big one. It was delicious! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, and the staff was very welcoming. The prices were reasonable too. Plus, they offered AMAZING baked goods, including tart cookies filled with various fruits. If I pass through this area again, I’ll definitely go out of my way to visit Joensy’s once more.

I had heard great things about Joensy's and finally got the chance to dine there. I've visited three times in just one month! On my last visit, I ordered the large tenderloin, cut it in half, and took the other half home. Both the breaded and grilled tenderloins are exceptional. The coleslaw tastes homemade, and the fries are consistently delicious. I’ve never had enough room for dessert, but they always offer four or more kinds of pie on the menu.

During our trip to Iowa City, we enjoy exploring small-town restaurants, and we stumbled upon this delightful spot that had a classic café vibe. Our waitress, Felicia, was fantastic, and the food was exceptional. The following day, on our way home, we stopped by again and received the same wonderful service, this time from the owner, who turned out to be Felicia's mother. This place is definitely worth a visit; it was truly great!
